Why we built Astrato

Martin Mahler trained as an aeronautical engineer, then spent 15 years in BI – founding Vizlib, the most popular extension suite for Qlik Sense, and growing it to 1,200+ customers.

Somewhere along the way, he noticed the world had moved to cloud warehouses but the BI tools hadn't followed. Astrato is his answer: a data apps platform designed from day one to run on the modern data stack.
